The best restaurants are the ones who leave their food to say who they are and say no more.

You have to eat. But you don't have to eat garbage all the time. And sometimes to eat some of the best food on the planet you have to go a little further off the beaten track to find it. Today we will have lunch at a place that; despite it being in a run down wooden building over 100 years old in an out of the way location that is in an out of the way town in an out of the way part of Thailand, has reached almost mythical status amongst folks all over Northern Thailand.

Mouths will gape, eyes will peer from the kitchen when we roll up and camera phones will be coming out with shy requests for selfies as they take in the sight and shock of 12 foreign faces dismounting from big motorbikes and walking in. Despite their fame among foodies they don't see a lot of non Thais here in this part of the world. Sure they know about us from the internet and tv but to have a group of the foreign devils actually in front of them in real life….well. If you hear the primary school bell ringing it will be the headmaster getting the kids together to get them to come down and meet the first large group of foreigners a lot of them have ever seen in real life in their young lives.

After a pleasant 90 minute afternoon ride we will spend tonight in the charming riverside town of Nakhon Phanom which sits on the banks of the Mekong River and looks out to Laos on the other side. Our hotel is a very nice recently opened 4 Star property right on the rivers edge which has the facilities you would expect from a property of that number of stars. Grab a cold beer and take in the view across to Laos from the infinity pool on the rooftop. Dinner tonight is at a great restaurant next door to the hotel.

ZONTES 368G Adventure Scooter: Setting the Benchmark for Touring and Adventure Scooters

Honda sparked a scooter revolution with the groundbreaking X-ADV in 2016, paving the way for adventure scooters like Peugeot’s XP400, KYMCO’s CV-R5, Aprilia’s SR GT 200, and Bristol’s Maxie 400. This year, ZONTES enters the arena with its impressive 368G adventure scooter, poised not just to compete but to redefine the category entirely. At the heart of the ZONTES 368G beats a robust 368 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering class-leading power figures of 38.8 hp and 40 Nm of torque—surpassing the Peugeot XP400. But the 368G's appeal stretches far beyond just numbers. Engineered for genuine adventure, it is well-equipped to tackle off-road excursions, featuring rugged wire-spoked tubeless wheels (17-inch front and 15-inch rear), adjustable USD forks (41mm with compression and rebound adjustment), and dual rear shocks adjustable for preload and tension with remote reservoirs. An innovative, switchable dual-channel ABS system combined with Spanish-made J.Juan fou...
