The best restaurants are the ones who leave their food to say who they are and say no more.

You have to eat. But you don't have to eat garbage all the time. And sometimes to eat some of the best food on the planet you have to go a little further off the beaten track to find it. Today we will have lunch at a place that; despite it being in a run down wooden building over 100 years old in an out of the way location that is in an out of the way town in an out of the way part of Thailand, has reached almost mythical status amongst folks all over Northern Thailand.

Mouths will gape, eyes will peer from the kitchen when we roll up and camera phones will be coming out with shy requests for selfies as they take in the sight and shock of 12 foreign faces dismounting from big motorbikes and walking in. Despite their fame among foodies they don't see a lot of non Thais here in this part of the world. Sure they know about us from the internet and tv but to have a group of the foreign devils actually in front of them in real life….well. If you hear the primary school bell ringing it will be the headmaster getting the kids together to get them to come down and meet the first large group of foreigners a lot of them have ever seen in real life in their young lives.

After a pleasant 90 minute afternoon ride we will spend tonight in the charming riverside town of Nakhon Phanom which sits on the banks of the Mekong River and looks out to Laos on the other side. Our hotel is a very nice recently opened 4 Star property right on the rivers edge which has the facilities you would expect from a property of that number of stars. Grab a cold beer and take in the view across to Laos from the infinity pool on the rooftop. Dinner tonight is at a great restaurant next door to the hotel.

Triumph Tiger Sport 660: A Versatile Adventure Sports Motorcycle

Earlier this year, Triumph wowed us with the Trident roadster, showcasing its capabilities and balance. However, the company's ambition extended beyond the Trident. It aims to make a significant impression on the Adventure Sports category, much like its roadster sibling did in the entry-level middleweight market. Building on the Trident: The Tiger Sport 660 is an evolution of the Trident platform, which sets out to offer greater versatility while retaining the qualities that made the Trident a favorite among riders. The engine, the same 660cc liquid-cooled inline-triple, delivers a solid 80 hp and 47 pound-feet of torque. This engine's powerband is broad and spirited, providing a fun and stress-free riding experience.
