DAY 5 KHON KAEN TO UBON RATCHATHANI
310KMS 4:36 HRS ACTUAL RIDING

“And where, I ask you, can a man escape to, when he hasn’t enough madness left inside him? The truth is an endless death agony. The truth is death. You have to choose: death or lies.”
― Louis-Ferdinand CĂ©line, Journey to the End of the Night

Today we ride further South East and along the way will stop at what must be one of the most bizarre; if not the most bizarre, temple complexes in the whole of The Kingdom.  Its Manga mixed with Dali and a whole swathe of 1960s psychedelic drugs thrown into a pot and then heated by alternative reality before being drunk at blood temperature in one gulp.

The best way to understand this place is to just accept what appears in front of you as you wander around and take it all in as one overall surreal experience. There are good karma things, baaaddddd deeds things, dinosaurs next to chickens, turtles riding dragons and on and on. If you see only one provincial temple complex in Thailand it really should be this one.

Our destination tonight is the charming city of Ubon Ratchathani , one of the “big four” cities in Isan with a population of around 250 000. Not a lot of foreigners seem to get here for some unknown reason as it really does have a lot to offer for the traveller either passing through or wanting to stay a while with plenty of things to see and do and a plethora of great places to eat and drink. We will be staying at the best hotel in the city, a 4 star property that is very very well located for our evening dining, drinks and entertainment afterwards.

I wonder is this heaven of food and paradise
Yummy to my tummy
Spoil with choices
western or Thai the authenticity is preserved
places to visit ancient time
somethings are not go be understood but to be appreciated
love the people and their smiles, the land of 1,000,000 smiles
enjoy each stay, each night
but riding our story is the curves and the bends and the buddies we have
yet awesome dishes that made us try or not to high
yet the warmest of people made our days brighter

Earlier this year, Triumph wowed us with the Trident roadster, showcasing its capabilities and balance. However, the company's ambition extended beyond the Trident.
