At time we will be less than 8kms from the Laos border We will finish the days riding in the charming Thai rural town of Nong Bua which sits between the Phu Ruea National Park and Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary. RIDE YOUR STORY - RIDING AROUND THAILAND DAY 10

Northeast Thailand February 2nd to 16th 2024 10 BIKES MAX + 1 VAN ( 2 PERSONS) ALL DETAILS HERE Day 10 l Optional ride 280kms 4:55hrs of actual riding Ahhh sports tragics…. :-)  Today is Super Bowl day in the USA and we haven't forgotten our American sports tragic riders' needs, wants and desires. The Super Bowl is broadcast live at around 6.30am kickoff Udon Thani time and we have arranged for a well equipped and fully stocked sports bar to open up and show the game on its big screen. They will of course have lots of alcohol , food and probably some locals dressed in inappropriately sized and designed Super Bowl outfits serving the drinks and food just to top off the whole extravaganza. It will take precisely 72 steps from the front door of the hotel to the front door of the Sports Bar so not a lot of effort will be required at that ungodly time of the day. A mobility scooter can probably be arranged if that is too much for you however. Might need one back to the hotel later in

Northeast Thailand February 2nd to 16th 2024 10 BIKES MAX + 1 VAN ( 2 PERSONS) ALL DETAILS HERE Day 9 Udon Thani Day ride 1 262 kms 4:23 hrs of actual riding The first of our “day rides” today and we are heading North up to the Thai / Laos border and riding along it next to the Mekong river which is the border itself. Mixed bag of riding with some highway work as well as provincial roads and a couple of secondary roads as well. Nothing too taxing as this is one of our “days off” and we just want to kick back and unwind a little. Our first stop will be the spectacular new glass bridge skywalk at Pha Tak Suea wher the views are truly stunning. You will be able to see for miles and miles into Laos from here. If you are scared of heights that a quick few nips out of the hip flask before you head out on the skybridge is probably in order. Lunch at Nong Kai will be at a superb riverside restaurant with a broad range of foods; Thai, Lao and Western. The setting for lunch is picture perfect wi

Ehsaan land of farmers 317kms 5:10hrs of riding Today we will awaken by the banks of the mighty Mekong river and end it in the provincial city of Udon Thani, which will be our forward operating base for the next 3 nights.Along the way today we will ride through the spectacular Phu Phan National Park and skirt along the edge of the Nong Han Lake. It will be a great days riding ahead with plenty of sightseeing and camera opportunities.. Udon Thani is a city of around 150 000 people and has all the mod cons that we will need during our stay. The city's economy was boosted by the proximity to Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base during the Vietnam War and retains reminders of that time in the form of bars, coffee shops, and hotels. "Udon sort of became like Pattaya when the GIs arrived," said a local architect
